I agree . I am in my 3rd month with the clarinet and it is getting more difficult by the week

i considered myself a decent sax player but when i started clarinet i played like shit
i mean 1, those damn open holes lol

but anyway, watch, when u play real classical music, especially transposed parts of 1st violins from orchestral music you will regret saying that clarinet's easy
for starters try the 1st/solo clarinet part of "finale, from Dvorak new world symphony" but make sure it's a wind band transcription where you have to play the 1st violin part too
you will die

in conclusion, it is one of the hardest instruments to master.
